There are many different types and styles of dog beds you can choose from, the more luxury dog beds tend to be made from soft, warm materials. These beds are good for most dogs, however if your dog tends to be destructive a plastic dog bed might be better suited. Soft dog beds do contain a lot of stuffing and a young or destructive dog will have the time of it's life tearing out every bit of stuffing. Plastic beds can still get chewed but at least they won't be destroyed after five minutes.
I would recommend the soft dog beds to most people, as they do provide a much more comfortable sleeping experience and dogs do tend to like them best. If your dogs very active outside some of our waterproof dog beds may be an ideal purchase as they can just be wiped down after use.

Dog beds come in many shapes, colors, and sizes. Made with different materials for inside and outside beds, there are literally hundreds to choose from. Deciding which dog bed to choose comes down to a few simple things. First, where will the bed be? It doesn't make sense to put a 6x6 dog bed in a 5x5 room. Secondly, a dog bed built for a Cocker Spaniel may not be the same size and comfort for a German Shepard. Knowing your options and deciding where it will go will take a lot of the frustration of shopping away.
Dog beds can be as soft as a feather, or can be as sturdy as concrete. Comfort on the other hand should never be looked over. A comfortable dog bed can be a very hard thing to find, and to decide on. Many stores like Petsmart allow your family friend in while shopping. Try out some of the beds, have the dog lay down, you should also sit or kneel down on the bed, if it is uncomfortable for you, how do you think the dog will feel?
Many dog owners also choose to have dog beds specially made. Different colors, sizes and textures make this possible. Some home owners who have dogs that stay and sleep indoors opt to have the dog bed match the interior of the home. Some just want the most comfortable choice and don't care about the look. However, a pink dog bed will probably clash with a orange room. Choices, just like in choosing your bed, there are many different choices and options for mans best friend as well.
Many choices are available. Once you decide which kind of dog yours is, the next step is the comfort factor. Make sure the dog bed isn't to hard or to soft, make sure it is made of quality material and sturdy enough for long time use. Purchasing the right dog bed can mean the difference between a happy lively dog, or a grumpy sore one.
